Pregnancy scans from the very beginning of your journey, at our Isle of Man clinic.
From 7 weeks.
Waiting until the 12 week stage to have your first scan may just seem too long!
At this most exciting and anxious time; for those seeking a bit more reassurance during the first trimester, the purpose of an Early Pregnancy Scan is to determine the viability of your pregnancy, number of fetus and measurements to assess the estimated due date.

35 minute private appointment ~ £130.00.
N.B. We always commence with an abdominal scan but sometimes an internal scan is required (click here for more information about internal scans). Even if we advise an internal scan, this will always remain your choice. An internal scan is more likely to be required in pregnancies below 9 weeks.
We allow 35 minutes for your Early Pregnancy Scan.
The pregnancy scan itself takes approx. 15 to 20 minutes, so our generous 35 minute pregnancy scan appointments allow you more time to ask questions and discuss findings with our Midwife Sonographer Jenifer.
Allowing for Mother Nature during Pregnancy Scans.
If we are unable to get the information we are looking for on the day of your scan, we are happy to offer a rescan at a later date, free of charge.
“Came for an early scan yesterday to find out the gender of our 3rd baby and I am so glad we did. The whole experience was wonderful. I was made to feel relaxed straight away. The lady who scanned me (Jen) was so friendly and really took the time to show us our baby on screen and talk through everything.
This is the first private scan I have had and the whole experience was amazing. I would highly recommend.
Thank you so much. xx”

Preparation for your Early Pregnancy Scan:
Please make sure that you have recently had something to drink so that your bladder is approximately ¾ full. An insufficiently filled or overfull bladder can often compromise image quality.
