But of course, being an excellent service provider takes much more than this. Our founder Jenifer is a qualified and experienced Midwife and also a qualified and experienced Sonographer. Understanding the technology is essential, of course, but the training, experience and approach to caring for clients is of the utmost importance.

Throughout my career I have been involved in almost every aspect of Midwifery care including obstetric ultrasound, specialist early pregnancy services, ante/intra/post partum care, rural midwifery services in the Scottish Highlands and Islands, care of neonates in the Special Care Baby Unit, antenatal education in the form of workshops and lectures, aquanatal exercise and all aspects of abortion care and counselling.
I have worked as a senior Midwife in a Band 7 role in Early Pregnancy services in a busy teaching hospital in Glasgow city.
Experienced in both private and NHS sectors, I treat everybody as an individual, appreciating the importance of the scan to them.
I have worked as a Midwife Sonographer for 5 private pregnancy Ultrasound clinics in England and also in the NHS in Nottingham City Hospital.
I am a friendly and open person who works to high standards. I am passionate about my work and thrive on providing the best and most professional level of service that I can.
I take a great deal of pride in the impact my role has on women and families at such an important and vulnerable time in their lives.”

Please note that ScanSanctuary / Jenifer Reid provides a ‘non diagnostic’ service. As such; if we notice any problems with your pregnancy we have a procedure in place to refer you directly to Noble’s Hospital, Isle of Man. We do not specifically look for fetal abnormalities and will not be held responsible should an anomaly be missed.

Safety of Ultrasound; Ultrasound scans have been used during pregnancy for decades. No radiation is used during ultrasound.
ScanSanctuary follows the clinical guidelines set by the British Medical Ultrasound society (BMUS) and observes safety indices during the scan to ensure that you and your baby are safe.
