Meet baby in 3D / 4D ~ the only Isle of Man clinic to offer this.
From 27 to 33 weeks (optimally).
This is a unique experience to see your baby’s features in three dimensions (3D) for the first time.
The fourth dimension is time and allows us to see your baby moving in 3D.
We often capture baby pulling different facial expressions, yawning and sucking fingers or toes. A truly wonderful bonding experience, the 3/4D scan often leaves parents feeling that they cannot wait to meet their little bundle!
The quality of the images largely depends on baby’s position on the day, and a few other factors (click here).

Increased Accuracy.
Our state-of-the-art technology (GE Voluson E8) is one of the most popular ultrasound machines for obstetric scanning. It features class leading 4D imaging as well as proprietary GE efficiency technologies.
3D/4D imaging modes, CrossXBeam and Speckle Reduction imaging assist with excellent accuracy.

We offer private appointments. This means that during the time of your appointment you will have exclusive access to the clinic.

Our Midwife and Sonographer Jenifer Reid will carry out your scan appointment, ensuring a calm, supportive experience with an expert.
Jen has been working in the field since 2006 and delights in each and every scan experience.
35 minute 3D / 4D Pregnancy Scan.
The pregnancy scan itself takes approx. 15 to 20 minutes, so our generous 35 minute pregnancy scan appointments allow you more time to ask questions and discuss findings with our Midwife Sonographer Jenifer.
Allowing for Mother Nature during Pregnancy Scans.
If baby is being tricky and it is impossible to get the information we are looking for on the day of your scan, we are happy to offer a rescan at a later date, for a small fee of £15.

Preparation for your 3D / 4D Scan:
You do not need a full bladder for this scan however please do not empty your bladder immediately before your scan; this can encourage baby to drop their head lower in your pelvis and we may not see the face.
It may be helpful to have something sugary to eat or drink about 15 minutes before your scan time to help encourage baby to be active (not recommended if you have gestational diabetes).
